Urban American Outdoors (UAO) is a weekly “Reality Sports Adventure” show for the “urban sportsman.” The adventures and features of the show are geared toward Multicultural viewers, but are sure to interest and fascinate every outdoor sportsman and woman. The focus of the show is the Outdoors Lifestyle from a different perspective. On UAO, Wayne will take you to various places like; South Dakota, Gulf of Mexico, or the woods of Kansas. After a successful hunt you will follow Wayne into the kitchen where he will demonstrate how to prepare a hot delicious meal from the harvested wild game. Wayne Hubbard our host says, “I Catch It and I Cook It”. Since the shows initial airing in August 2003; the show has developed a loyal and growing following. UAO has massive bi-cultural audience appeal and with fishing and hunting enthusiast rapidly growing, UAO has now become a family favorite. We want everybody to tune in, have fun and enjoy the show. Urban American Outdoors today can be seen nationally as well as globally.


About Us

UAOTV is a Media Production Company created by Businessman and avid outdoorsman Wayne Hubbard and Media Specialist Candice Price. The production company came together in late 2003 and the first episodes of Urban American Outdoors aired in August 2003. The show quickly captured people’s attention because they had never seen anything like the concept of this show before in the history of television. The Executive Producer of Urban American Outdoors Candice Price stated “I knew we had a hit on our hands because I could feel it down in my bones, when we first discussed the concept to various individuals they would all have similar reactions of scratching their heads or even an occasional horse laugh. They couldn’t put together what we were saying. So Wayne said let’s just do it and we did and that was the beginning of the show.”  Urban American Outdoors has now garnered over 20 Broadcast Industry Awards and this is only the beginning.    

UAOTV the Production Company is just not a company that produces outdoor entertainment but one that does a full spectrum of media production jobs. We create commercials, documentaries, lifestyle & travel shows, cooking shows, research, music videos, media conferences, design and consult on media and music projects. Our production team combined has over 60 years of media experience and we are able to bring dreams to fruition.

Team Spotlight

Wayne Hubbard the host and the shows originator is affectionately known to many as the Urban Outdoorsman, grew up in Nowata, Oklahoma. He was raised by a family of outdoorsman and woman who gave him the foundation of what he is doing today. In 1997 an outdoor video company came to a friend’s ranch in Southern Kansas to film deer hunts, although he didn’t realize it then, their presence would significantly redirect his future.  It was that event that inspired him to produce his own outdoor adventure show.  After two year of intense research, Wayne discovered although there was an abundance of sporting shows, few if any, were targeted to the average sporting enthuses, and none truly represented the growing multi-cultural, or coed sporting community.  He noted their was a definite need for a sporting adventure show with the unique prospective of an outdoorsman like himself; an individual with cultural ties to sporting and an earnest respect for nature.  His rural up-bring would enable him to complement the sporting adventures with shows on the preparation of fish and wild game. 

Once only Wayne’s dream, the Urban American Outdoors television show is now a reality.  The down to earth, sporting show has become one of the most watched and talked about new additions to the Outdoors Television genre. In fact ABC News Anchor Roy Hobbs said “this is the most significant new shows he has seen and that Wayne Hubbard is one of the top Urban Outdoorsmen in the Country.  Wayne Hubbard has put the humanity in hunting and has shown a different viewpoint of being in the great outdoors. He has also raised the bar in outdoors TV format.
