Meet Candice

Candice Price is the Executive Producer of Urban American Outdoors; the first multicultural reality sports adventures show which debut in the fall of 2003. It now airs on various affiliates throughout the US. Wayne Hubbard the host, producer and avid outdoorsman of the show collaborated with Candice on this unique concept for about five years prior to its first airing. The initial 13 segments of the show  was originally created to air locally and regionally, but after the show was sent out to various outlets it was widely received and requested to be aired nationally. Over the past several years under the tutelage of Wayne Hubbard, Candice Price is becoming an authentic urban outdoors woman, who now has knowledge and lives the urban outdoors lifestyle.

Candice’s background is in the Broadcasting Industry and the Arts & Entertainment. Candice’s father, Carl Price Sr., was one of the original black radio djs’ in the country and entertainment was part of their household. Jack “The Rapper Gibson” adopted her as his Goddaughter. Her father and mother wrote and published their own black newspaper for many years in Topeka, Kansas. Her father said the communications was key to the future and he was right, Candice was inspired by her family to pursue the communications field. Initially, at a very young age Candice set out to be a singer/songwriter which she did professionally for many years in the US and overseas where she became much respected, popular and in demand.

The valuable contacts and friends she made while in the Music Industry, she still has today. While singing, she also acquired a dual Bachelors of Arts Degree in Communications and in Music from The Conservatory of Music in Kansas City. After receiving her degrees she pursued a career in the Broadcast Industry having various jobs from Master Control, Production, Promotions, Traffic and Sales at the NBC and FOX affiliates. While working in television she also was an Independent Promoter in the Music Industry. After working in television for over a decade, she also was employed by Gannet Outdoors, The Kansas City Star and Camelot Music rounding her out to be a highly skilled multimedia professional and consultant. Candice also orchestrated several Media & Music Business Conferences. Candice is ever learning new skills to continue to expand her ongoing natural progression in her chosen fields. Today she owns, and produces one of the hottest new, award winning shows in the Outdoors Broadcasting arena which is Urban American Outdoors.
